In March 2011 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now, Art from the 19th, 20th and the 21st Centuries, which included this untitled work by Willem Hussem. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,000.00 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willem Hussem achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dutch Cirkel Met Verticalen in June 2008 with an auction result of EUR 35,550.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im März 2011 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now, Art from the 19th, 20th and the 21st Centuries durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Willem Hussem zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.000,00 und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Willem Hussem erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dutch Cirkel Met Verticalen im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 35.550,00.
