Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2011 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction Modern & Contemporary Art, which included the work Compostion by Willem Hussem. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 6,250.00. Admittedly, works by Willem Hussem have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dutch Cirkel Met Verticalen in June 2008 with an auction result of EUR 35,550.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2011 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Compostion von Willem Hussem zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 6.250,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Willem Hussem auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dutch Cirkel Met Verticalen im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 35.550,00.
