Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Willem George Frederik Jansen could be acquired at Sothebys in Amsterdam in April 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th Century Paintings auction, the work Dutch Unloading The Cart changed hands for EUR 1,750.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Willem George Frederik Jansen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Shell Fisher In The Breakers in March 2007 with an auction result of EUR 9,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Willem George Frederik Jansen konnte im April 2008 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 19th Century Paintings wechselte die Arbeit Dutch Unloading The Cart für EUR 1.750,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Willem George Frederik Jansen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Shell Fisher In The Breakers im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 9.600,00.
