Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cattle grazing near the river by Willem George Frederik Jansen was sold in the Nineteen to Now, art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries, including Topographical Observations, African and Indonesian Pictures auction at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,125.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Willem George Frederik Jansen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Shell Fisher In The Breakers in March 2007 with an auction result of EUR 9,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cattle grazing near the river von Willem George Frederik Jansen wurde im September 2009 in der Auktion Nineteen to Now, art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries, including Topographical Observations, African and Indonesian Pictures bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.125,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
