In May 2009 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Master and 19th Century Art, which included the work Gathering by a koek-en-zopie on a winter's day by Willem de Klerk. The result of EUR 15,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Willem de Klerk - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A winterlandscape with peasants on a frozen waterway, with farmhouses and a windmill beyond, which sold at auction in April 2001 for NLG 99,875.00 (€ 45,840.76).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2009 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gathering by a koek-en-zopie on a winter's day von Willem de Klerk zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 15.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Willem de Klerk mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A winterlandscape with peasants on a frozen waterway, with farmhouses and a windmill beyond beobachtet, die im April 2001 für NLG 99.875,00 (€ 45.840,76) versteigert wurde.
