Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A conversation at the bend in the river by Willem de Klerk was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2006. The price achieved of GBP 4,800.00 (€ 7,128.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Willem de Klerk have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A winterlandscape with peasants on a frozen waterway, with farmhouses and a windmill beyond in April 2001 with an auction result of NLG 99,875.00 (€ 45,840.76).

Die Arbeit A conversation at the bend in the river von Willem de Klerk kam im November 2006 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.800,00 (€ 7.128,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Willem de Klerk auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A winterlandscape with peasants on a frozen waterway, with farmhouses and a windmill beyond im April 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 99.875,00 (€ 45.840,76).
