Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Willard van Dyke could be acquired at Bonhams in Skinner Boston in January 2024 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Prints & Photographs auction, the work Northcoast House and Chair changed hands for USD 358.40 (€ 313.23) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willard van Dyke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Ten Photographs, California 1930-1937' in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 14,400.00 (€ 10,541.73).
