It achieved a price of USD 27,500.00 (€ 22,520.68), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 53%. Admittedly, works by Will Ryman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Bed in October 2013 with an auction result of GBP 97,875.00 (€ 115,687.47).

Die Arbeit Man on Tricycle von Will Ryman kam im Februar 2018 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 22.520,68) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 53%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Will Ryman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Bed im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 97.875,00 (€ 115.687,47).
