Auction result well in line with expectations
The work I. Turnip No. 16 Ii. Turnip No. 6 by Will Fowler was sold in the Contemporary Art Online | New York auction at Sothebys in New York in July 2019. It changed hands for a price of USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,267.74) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Will Fowler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bathtub, which sold at auction in March 2013 for USD 11,250.00 (€ 8,778.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit I. Turnip No. 16 Ii. Turnip No. 6 von Will Fowler wurde im Juli 2019 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Online | New York bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 4.750,00 (€ 4.267,74) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Will Fowler mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bathtub beobachtet, die im März 2013 für USD 11.250,00 (€ 8.778,09) versteigert wurde.
