Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Arlequin by Wilhelm Gimmi was sold in the Swiss Art/Swiss Made auction at Sothebys in Zurich in December 2018. The price achieved of CHF 11,875.00 (€ 10,541.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CHF 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wilhelm Gimmi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le Figaro. Um 1913., which sold at auction in July 2021 for CHF 27,140.00 (€ 25,245.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Arlequin von Wilhelm Gimmi wurde im Dezember 2018 in der Auktion Swiss Art/Swiss Made bei Sothebys in Zürich versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CHF 11.875,00 (€ 10.541,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CHF 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Wilhelm Gimmi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Le Figaro. Um 1913. beobachtet, die im Juli 2021 für CHF 27.140,00 (€ 25.245,87) versteigert wurde.
