Artwork auctioned at five times the upper estimate price
The work Café (Entwurf für ein Plakat) by Wilhelm Gimmi was worth CHF 25,000.00 (€ 22,975.70) to a buyer in September 2019. This price was achieved in the auction Swiss Art at Christies in Zurich and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of CHF 5,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Wilhelm Gimmi; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Le Figaro. Um 1913. sold at auction in July 2021 with the realized price of CHF 27,140.00 (€ 25,245.87).

Die Arbeit Café (Entwurf für ein Plakat) von Wilhelm Gimmi war einem Käufer im September 2019 CHF 25.000,00 (€ 22.975,70) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Swiss Art bei Christies in Zürich erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von CHF 5.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Wilhelm Gimmi; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Le Figaro. Um 1913. im Juli 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von CHF 27.140,00 (€ 25.245,87).
