Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Strand by moonlight by Wilfred Jenkins was sold in the Victorian and British Impressionist Pictures auction at Christies in London in November 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,688.75) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Wilfred Jenkins have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figures on the corner of a moonlit street; and Figures on a moonlit lane in March 2000 with an auction result of GBP 12,075.00 (€ 20,081.28).

Die Arbeit The Strand by moonlight von Wilfred Jenkins wurde im November 2010 in der Auktion Victorian and British Impressionist Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.688,75) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
