Auction result well in line with expectations
The work On The Thames (Illustrated); And Scarbro' by Wilfred Jenkins was sold in the MARITIME PICTURES AND WATERCOLOURS auction at Christies in London in June 2005. The price achieved of GBP 480.00 (€ 711.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wilfred Jenkins achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figures on the corner of a moonlit street; and Figures on a moonlit lane in March 2000 with an auction result of GBP 12,075.00 (€ 20,081.28).

Die Arbeit On The Thames (Illustrated); And Scarbro' von Wilfred Jenkins wurde im Juni 2005 in der Auktion MARITIME PICTURES AND WATERCOLOURS bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 480,00 (€ 711,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wilfred Jenkins erzielen.
