This work without title by Wilfredo Lam was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Christies in New York in March last year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 60,480.00 (€ 54,520.87), 34% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wilfredo Lam achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Omi Obini in June 2020 with an auction result of USD 9,603,800.00 (€ 8,551,153.06).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Wilfredo Lam wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 60.480,00 (€ 54.520,87) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wilfredo Lam erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Omi Obini im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 9.603.800,00 (€ 8.551.153,06).
