Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March last year Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included this untitled work by Wilfredo Lam. Here, the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 63,000.00 (€ 56,792.57). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wilfredo Lam achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Omi Obini in June 2020 with an auction result of USD 9,603,800.00 (€ 8,551,153.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Wilfredo Lam zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 63.000,00 (€ 56.792,57) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wilfredo Lam erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Omi Obini im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 9.603.800,00 (€ 8.551.153,06).
