The work 'Pajamas': A Pair of Gatepost Roosters by Wheeler Williams was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2012. The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,778.47) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wheeler Williams - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Winter and Summer: Two Sculptures, which sold at auction in September 2008 for USD 30,000.00 (€ 21,305.31).

Die Arbeit 'Pajamas': A Pair of Gatepost Roosters von Wheeler Williams kam im September 2012 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.778,47) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wheeler Williams mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Winter and Summer: Two Sculptures beobachtet, die im September 2008 für USD 30.000,00 (€ 21.305,31) versteigert wurde.
