In May 2009 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Pla Mountain 0906 by Whang Inkie. The auction ended at the price of HKD 350,000.00 (€ 31,962.34), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Other works by Whang Inkie have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2010 the work Pla Mountain 09-188 was auctioned for HKD 350,000.00 (€ 36,361.06).

Im Mai 2009 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pla Mountain 0906 von Whang Inkie zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 350.000,00 (€ 31.962,34) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Whang Inkie konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2010 die Arbeit Pla Mountain 09-188 für HKD 350.000,00 (€ 36.361,06) versteigert.
