Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Pla Mountain by Whang Inkie for HKD 375,000.00 (€ 34,754.65). This price was achieved in the auction Asian Contemporary Sale (Day Sale) at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 430,000.00 – 530,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Whang Inkie have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May 2010 by the work Pla Mountain 09-188 at HKD 350,000.00 (€ 36,361.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Pla Mountain von Whang Inkie für HKD 375.000,00 (€ 34.754,65) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Sale (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 430.000,00 – 530.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Whang Inkie wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Mai 2010 die Arbeit Pla Mountain 09-188 mit HKD 350.000,00 (€ 36.361,06).
