Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2009 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work After Diamond 0802 - Lemon by Whang Inkie. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 312,500.00 (€ 28,537.80) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Whang Inkie have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2010 the work Pla Mountain 09-188 was auctioned for HKD 350,000.00 (€ 36,361.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2009 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit After Diamond 0802 - Lemon von Whang Inkie zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 300.000,00 – 400.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 312.500,00 (€ 28.537,80) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Whang Inkie konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2010 die Arbeit Pla Mountain 09-188 für HKD 350.000,00 (€ 36.361,06) versteigert.
