A top price for Whang Inkie - as previously expected
The work Pla Mountain 09-188 by Whang Inkie was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2010. The price achieved of HKD 350,000.00 (€ 36,361.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Pla Mountain 09-188 is the most expensive artwork by Whang Inkie that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Pla Mountain 09-188 von Whang Inkie wurde im Mai 2010 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 350.000,00 (€ 36.361,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 300.000,00 – 400.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Pla Mountain 09-188 das teuerste Kunstwerk von Whang Inkie, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
