Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 10 Photographien by Werner Mantz was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in New York in October 2020. The price achieved of USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,098.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Werner Mantz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Haus der Kölnischen Zeitung auf der Internationalen Presse-Ausstellung 'Pressa' bei Nacht, Köln., which sold at auction in July 2020 for EUR 47,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 10 Photographien von Werner Mantz wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.098,57) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Werner Mantz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Haus der Kölnischen Zeitung auf der Internationalen Presse-Ausstellung 'Pressa' bei Nacht, Köln. beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für EUR 47.500,00 versteigert wurde.
