Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Transcendent Light by Werner Drewes was auctioned at Christies in New York in July 2016. The price achieved of USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,394.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Werner Drewes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Expectation of New Events in November last year with an auction result of USD 75,975.00 (€ 73,597.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Transcendent Light von Werner Drewes kam im Juli 2016 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.394,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Werner Drewes auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Expectation of New Events im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 75.975,00 (€ 73.597,79).
