Auction result well in line with expectations
In August this year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction American Art Online, which included the work Untitled, A169 by Werner Drewes. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,088.00 (€ 1,003.78) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Werner Drewes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Expectation of New Events in November last year with an auction result of USD 75,975.00 (€ 73,597.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion American Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled, A169 von Werner Drewes zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.088,00 (€ 1.003,78) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Werner Drewes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Expectation of New Events im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 75.975,00 (€ 73.597,79).
