The »bidding war« ended at GBP 18,900.00 (€ 21,996.35), 58% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Werner Büttner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ohne Titel, which sold at auction in June 2018 for EUR 86,800.00.

Die Arbeit Tanz der Vorratsschädlinge von Werner Büttner wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 18.900,00 (€ 21.996,35) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Werner Büttner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Juni 2018 für EUR 86.800,00 versteigert wurde.
