In October 2021 China Guardian held the auction Takahashi Kouhou Collection, which included the work Seven-Character Couplet In Running Script by Weng Tonghe. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 78,000.00 (€ 8,676.42), 56% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Weng Tonghe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 750,000.00 (€ 80,748.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 56 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2021 führte China Guardian die Auktion Takahashi Kouhou Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seven-Character Couplet In Running Script von Weng Tonghe zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 78.000,00 (€ 8.676,42) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Weng Tonghe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 750.000,00 (€ 80.748,87).
