Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year POLY held the auction Paintings preserved by significant Hong Kong collectors III, which included the work Seven-Character Calligraphic Couplet In Running Script by Weng Tonghe. It changed hands for a price of HKD 9,600.00 (€ 1,126.51) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 5,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Weng Tonghe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 750,000.00 (€ 80,748.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte POLY die Auktion Paintings preserved by significant Hong Kong collectors III durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seven-Character Calligraphic Couplet In Running Script von Weng Tonghe zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 9.600,00 (€ 1.126,51) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 5.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Weng Tonghe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 750.000,00 (€ 80.748,87).
