Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Weng Shouqi achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April 2018. In the Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Landscape After Li Yingqiu sold for HKD 17,700.00 (€ 1,867.63) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Weng Shouqi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Various Subjects in April 2012 with an auction result of HKD 162,500.00 (€ 15,833.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Weng Shouqi erzielte im April 2018 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Landscape After Li Yingqiu für HKD 17.700,00 (€ 1.867,63) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Weng Shouqi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Various Subjects im April 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 162.500,00 (€ 15.833,59).
