The work Landscapes After Wu Dacheng by Weng Shouqi was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2013. The auction ended at the price of HKD 30,000.00 (€ 2,844.33), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Weng Shouqi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Various Subjects in April 2012 with an auction result of HKD 162,500.00 (€ 15,833.59).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Landscapes After Wu Dacheng von Weng Shouqi wurde im November 2013 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 30.000,00 (€ 2.844,33) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Weng Shouqi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Various Subjects im April 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 162.500,00 (€ 15.833,59).
