A top price for Weng Shouqi
This artwork by Weng Shouqi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2012. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Various Subjects sold for HKD 162,500.00 (€ 15,833.59) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. This high result makes Various Subjects the most expensive artwork by Weng Shouqi that we have observed at auctions so far.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Weng Shouqi erzielte im April 2012 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Various Subjects für HKD 162.500,00 (€ 15.833,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht Various Subjects zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Weng Shouqi, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
