Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 81,250.00 (€ 58,975.10). Admittedly, works by Wendell Castle have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Unique three-seater sofa in April 2018 with an auction result of GBP 225,000.00 (€ 256,251.04).

Die Arbeit 'Abilene' A Rocking Chair, 2008 von Wendell Castle wurde im März 2014 in der Auktion BARRY FRIEDMAN: THE ECLECTIC EYE Evening Sale and Day Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 81.250,00 (€ 58.975,10) einen neuen Besitzer.
