A top price for Wendell Castle
In April 2018 Phillips in London held the auction Important Design, which included the work Unique three-seater sofa by Wendell Castle. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 225,000.00 (€ 256,251.04), 25% above the upper estimate. With this result, Unique three-seater sofa is even the most expensive work of art by Wendell Castle that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im April 2018 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Important Design durch, in der auch die Arbeit Unique three-seater sofa von Wendell Castle zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 225.000,00 (€ 256.251,04) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Unique three-seater sofa sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Wendell Castle, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
