(15 1 ⁄ 2 in.) in diameter Inscribed and signed in miniature script by the artist Dated winter, 1981 Further inscribed by Zhao Shao’ang (1905-1998), Fu Chuanfu (1910-2007), Feng Kanghou (1901-1983), and Gao Yihong (1908-1982), and with a total of five seals Titleslip by Wen Yongchen
Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June this year Christies in Paris held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Amiayus Buddha by Wen Yongchen. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 32,760.00 (€ 3,828.00). Admittedly, works by Wen Yongchen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Hundred Boys in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,265.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Amiayus Buddha von Wen Yongchen zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 32.760,00 (€ 3.828,00) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wen Yongchen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Hundred Boys im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.265,76).
