Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Wen Yongchen could be acquired at Bonhams in Paris in June this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Decorative Asian Works of Art Online auction, the work Calligraphy in Standard Script, 1946 changed hands for USD 166.40 (€ 152.38) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wen Yongchen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Hundred Boys in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,265.76).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wen Yongchen konnte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Decorative Asian Works of Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Calligraphy in Standard Script, 1946 für USD 166,40 (€ 152,38) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wen Yongchen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Hundred Boys im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.265,76).
