Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Zhong Kui And The Auspicious Bat by Wen Yongchen was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Bonhams in London in June this year. The price achieved of HKD 19,200.00 (€ 2,243.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wen Yongchen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Hundred Boys in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,265.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Zhong Kui And The Auspicious Bat von Wen Yongchen wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 19.200,00 (€ 2.243,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wen Yongchen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Hundred Boys im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.265,76).
