The work Flowers, Rock And Butterfly by Wen Shu was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. It achieved a price of HKD 189,000.00 (€ 22,438.36), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wen Shu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rising Early In Spring To Lament Flowers in September 2015 with an auction result of USD 413,000.00 (€ 370,005.38).

Die Arbeit Flowers, Rock And Butterfly von Wen Shu wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 189.000,00 (€ 22.438,36) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wen Shu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rising Early In Spring To Lament Flowers im September 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 413.000,00 (€ 370.005,38).
