The work Resting In The Tree Shade by Wen Jia was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2013. The auction ended at the price of HKD 200,000.00 (€ 18,962.22), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wen Jia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Thatched Cottage In The Southern Village (Nancun Caotang Tu), After Wang Meng in March 2012 with an auction result of USD 5,122,500.00 (€ 3,841,682.92).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Resting In The Tree Shade von Wen Jia wurde im November 2013 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 200.000,00 (€ 18.962,22) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wen Jia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Thatched Cottage In The Southern Village (Nancun Caotang Tu), After Wang Meng im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.122.500,00 (€ 3.841.682,92).
