This artwork by Wen Jia achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2013. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction, the work Li Bai'S Poems, Calligraphy In Regular Script sold for USD 52,500.00 (€ 40,964.42) - well above the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wen Jia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Thatched Cottage In The Southern Village (Nancun Caotang Tu), After Wang Meng in March 2012 with an auction result of USD 5,122,500.00 (€ 3,841,682.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wen Jia erzielte im März 2013 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Li Bai'S Poems, Calligraphy In Regular Script für USD 52.500,00 (€ 40.964,42) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wen Jia erzielen.
