The work Yandong Mountains by Wen Boren was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017. The result of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 35,410.74) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wen Boren have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Resting in the Verdant Mountain in December this year with an auction result of HKD 1,638,000.00 (€ 189,535.35).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Yandong Mountains von Wen Boren kam im April 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 35.410,74) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 300.000,00 – 400.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wen Boren auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Resting in the Verdant Mountain im Dezember diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.638.000,00 (€ 189.535,35).
