Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Scholar By Tong Lee by Wen Boren was sold in the Delightful Harmony - Fine Modern and Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at POLY in Hong Kong in May 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 5,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 5,750.00 (€ 570.22) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wen Boren achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Resting in the Verdant Mountain in December this year with an auction result of HKD 1,638,000.00 (€ 189,535.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Scholar By Tong Lee von Wen Boren wurde im Mai 2013 in der Auktion Delightful Harmony - Fine Modern and Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 5.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 5.750,00 (€ 570,22) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wen Boren erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Resting in the Verdant Mountain im Dezember diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.638.000,00 (€ 189.535,35).
