Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Landscape by Wen Boren. The price achieved of USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,155.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000.00 – 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wen Boren achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Resting in the Verdant Mountain in December this year with an auction result of HKD 1,638,000.00 (€ 189,535.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape von Wen Boren zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.155,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 6.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wen Boren erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Resting in the Verdant Mountain im Dezember diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.638.000,00 (€ 189.535,35).
