Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Wen Boren achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in May 2016. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction, the work Landscape sold for HKD 118,750.00 (€ 13,725.30) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wen Boren achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Resting in the Verdant Mountain in December this year with an auction result of HKD 1,638,000.00 (€ 189,535.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wen Boren erzielte im Mai 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Landscape für HKD 118.750,00 (€ 13.725,30) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wen Boren erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Resting in the Verdant Mountain im Dezember diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.638.000,00 (€ 189.535,35).
