This artwork by Wen Boren achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2005. In the FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY auction, the work Landscapes sold for HKD 312,000.00 (€ 32,491.05) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wen Boren have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Resting in the Verdant Mountain in December this year with an auction result of HKD 1,638,000.00 (€ 189,535.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wen Boren erzielte im Mai 2005 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY wurde die Arbeit Landscapes für HKD 312.000,00 (€ 32.491,05) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wen Boren auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Resting in the Verdant Mountain im Dezember diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.638.000,00 (€ 189.535,35).
