Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2013 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Waseem Ahmed for USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,926.03). This price was achieved in the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Waseem Ahmed - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Man Lounging); Untitled (Woman Pointing), which sold at auction in March 2017 for USD 10,000.00 (€ 9,347.54).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2013 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Waseem Ahmed für USD 3.750,00 (€ 2.926,03) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Waseem Ahmed mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Man Lounging); Untitled (Woman Pointing) beobachtet, die im März 2017 für USD 10.000,00 (€ 9.347,54) versteigert wurde.
