Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Waseem Ahmed was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,437.86) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Waseem Ahmed have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Man Lounging); Untitled (Woman Pointing) in March 2017 with an auction result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 9,347.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Waseem Ahmed kam im April 2021 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.437,86) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Waseem Ahmed auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Man Lounging); Untitled (Woman Pointing) im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 9.347,54).
