The work Landscapes by Wang Zhuan was worth USD 225,000.00 (€ 200,213.56) to a buyer in September 2016. This price was achieved in the auction The Roy and Marilyn Papp Collection of Chinese Paintings at Sothebys in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 45,000.00 many times over. This high result makes Landscapes the most expensive artwork by Wang Zhuan that we have observed at auctions so far.
