Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2008 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Important Chinese Classical Paintings: Property of the Ping Y Tai Foundation, which included the work Landscape by Wang Zhuan. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 80,000.00 – 160,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 87,500.00 (€ 8,109.42) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Zhuan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscapes in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 225,000.00 (€ 200,213.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2008 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Important Chinese Classical Paintings: Property of the Ping Y Tai Foundation durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape von Wang Zhuan zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 160.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 87.500,00 (€ 8.109,42) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Zhuan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscapes im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 225.000,00 (€ 200.213,56).
