Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2004 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY, which included the work Poem In Running Cursive Script Calligraphy by Wang Zhideng. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 40,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 41,825.00 (€ 2,714.92) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Zhideng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Correspondences in May 2021 with an auction result of HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 132,134.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2004 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poem In Running Cursive Script Calligraphy von Wang Zhideng zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 41.825,00 (€ 2.714,92) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Zhideng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Correspondences im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 132.134,66).
