Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Wang Zhideng achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2019. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Running Script Calligraphy sold for HKD 162,500.00 (€ 18,846.99) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wang Zhideng have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Correspondences in May 2021 with an auction result of HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 132,134.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Zhideng erzielte im November 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Running Script Calligraphy für HKD 162.500,00 (€ 18.846,99) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Zhideng auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Correspondences im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 132.134,66).
