A top price for Wang Zhideng
This artwork by Wang Zhideng achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2021. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Correspondences sold for HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 132,134.66) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 480,000.00. This high result makes Correspondences the most expensive artwork by Wang Zhideng that we have observed at auctions so far.
