In July 2020 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Poem in Running Script by Wang Zhideng. The auction ended at the price of HKD 30,000.00 (€ 3,286.90), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Zhideng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Correspondences in May 2021 with an auction result of HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 132,134.66).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2020 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poem in Running Script von Wang Zhideng zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 30.000,00 (€ 3.286,90) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Zhideng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Correspondences im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 132.134,66).
